AMTD SCRAP is pleased to offer a bulk shipment of 200 metric tons of used electronic meters scrap. These smart utility devices were formerly used for electricity consumption monitoring across municipal, industrial, and commercial applications. Now available as bulk non-working electric meters, these materials are ready for export under CNF shipping terms.
This lot consists entirely of damaged or decommissioned smart meters, collected from energy utility companies as part of regional upgrades to advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) systems. Although non-functional, these units retain recyclable value due to their metal content, printed circuit boards (PCBs), wiring, and casings made from ABS plastic, copper, aluminum, and small amounts of lithium-based components in newer models.
The entire load is packed in fiber bags, ensuring space-efficient loading. Net weight excludes packaging. Buyers are expected to evaluate the condition based on detailed images before placing any offer.
Such scrap is increasingly in demand as more regions replace traditional meters with advanced digital solutions. The bulk nature of this offer ensures economies of scale for recyclers and refiners.
These materials present excellent recovery opportunities for downstream recyclers, particularly in extracting non-ferrous metals and electronic components that are processed using eco-friendly techniques. Learn more about EPA’s guidelines on electronic waste management to understand compliance and best recycling practices.
As these meters are not tested, buyers must assume as-is, where-is conditions. Some units may be broken or missing components. It is essential to evaluate the images provided by AMTD SCRAP. No returns or quality claims will be accepted after the sale is concluded. The products are sold strictly for electronic waste recycling purposes, not for re-use or resale.
Photos of selected lots are available upon request. Buyers are strongly encouraged to contact us directly for additional pictures and videos of packaging and typical meter conditions.
Visual inspection is key to assessing mixed batch conditions, as some meters may contain more aluminum, while others emphasize PCB content. Understanding this mix can influence yield calculations and final offer price.
All offers should be submitted on a CNF basis (Cost and Freight) to the destination port. This means AMTD SCRAP will arrange international shipping and handle all export clearance procedures. Buyers must handle customs clearance at the destination.
Transactions will be conducted in USD and are payable via Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) only. 30% deposit is required to reserve the cargo, with the balance due against scanned BL & packing list.
Our logistics team ensures smooth dispatch from port of origin, and our documentation is aligned with international trade compliance standards for electronic scrap exports.
Electronic waste is a growing environmental concern. According to the Global E-waste Monitor by the UN, over 53 million metric tons of e-waste are generated annually. This shipment provides recyclers with an opportunity to recover valuable materials while adhering to environmental standards.
All buyers must comply with the Basel Convention for cross-border movement of hazardous electronic waste. Our cargo is classified and documented for non-reuse, ensuring alignment with international laws.
These recovery operations are best handled by licensed facilities capable of managing complex waste streams and ensuring safe reclamation of materials.
Our reputation is built on transparency, consistency, and client satisfaction. We welcome buyers looking for long-term supply relationships, and we support third-party inspections upon request.
